Disney trip day 1

Ok so it is a little delayed but here it is. On Thursday, Aug 12, I got on an airplane for the first time in my life. John was taking me to Disney World in Orlando, Florida for 5 days, 4 nights.
The plane was  delayed leaving Vermont for 3 hours for "Mandatory crew rest" but was otherwise relatively uneventful until we were almost ready to start our descent and hit a little bit of turbulence.
When we landed, we found our ride to the hotel and made our way to Disney's All-Star Music resort on the Magical express. When we got to the hotel, the check in process that should have taken just a few minutes ended up taking about 45 minutes total as someone had called that morning at about 8:30 am (10 minutes after we were supposed to have taken off from Vermont) to cancel the hotel reservation.
Thankfully, John had gotten the Disney dining plan to his reservation as that was how we proved to them that neither of us had cancelled this trip. At this point I was in tears and fighting hard to control my temper as I knew there was only one person who was likely to have done this....the one person who had been doing her best to split John and I up since day 1 and been stalking him.
After we finally got the room situated and had requested a refrigerator be put in there for John's insulin, we dropped off our carry-on luggage in the room (the rest was supposed to be brought in from the airport and dropped off by Disney staff as part of the package he bought) and made our way to the buses to go to Hollywood Studios.
When we got to Hollywood studios, we had about an hour to kill before our dinner reservations so we went to see the Indiana Jones attraction. While they were doing the pre-show set up with the audience members they were going to use as extras, there was some thunder in the distance which I thought was a part of the show. They had just gotten through the first section of the performance when they had to stop it due to heavy rains and thunder and lightning making it unsafe to move the set pieces for the next segment.
We made our way to the souvenir shop next door to see what they had for sale there and kill a little bit of time before we went for dinner.
By the time we got to dinner, we both looked like we had just gotten out of the shower and had been wearing our clothes in the shower. We were going to eat at Hollywood and Vine. When we got into the restaurant, John made his way over to the staff to discuss his dietary restrictions (or so I thought). We made our way to the buffet to get some food and sat down to eat. I couldn't help but notice that about the time I got my dessert and sat back down, John kept nodding but I didn't think anything of it. He told me that since it was my first time at Disney, every night there I would get a different gift after dinner from whatever restaurant we ate at that day but I had to close my eyes because it was a surprise. When he told me to open my eyes, he was on one knee and in front of me was a bouquet of white carnations with a glass slipper and a tiara on them arranged to look like Cinderella's pillow. I looked back at him and he asked me if I would marry him. Of course, I said yes! As he kissed me, the entire restaurant started clapping and cheering for us. The lady at the table next to us asked John to pose on his knee again so she could take a picture of it. Sadly, the memory card that this photo was on was lost later in the trip. We walked around the park until it was almost closing time and made our way back to the hotel. When we got there, John got his insulin from the guest services desk where they had it in their refrigerator and made our way to the room where we expected to find not only our luggage but also the refrigerator he had requested and been promised would be in there. The luggage was there but no refrigerator. He called the front desk and was promised someone would be right up with it. More than 30 minutes later, no one has shown up yet so he walked down to the lobby to talk with them. Another 20 to 30 minutes passed and he called again demanding to speak to the manager. The manager apologized and gave us a credit on our room as an apology for this mishap and the UN-authorized room cancellation that had occurred earlier when the troll called pretending to be me and cancelled it. The refrigerator finally got there at about Midnight (we checked in at about 3 PM and it was supposed to be brought right up). In spite of all the mishaps and someone's best efforts to make it a miserable trip, it was a great day!
