Today, we head back to Vermont.
Before breakfast, John went to the front desk to start the check out process even though we weren't checking out until about 1 pm. After we ate, we went in the pool and just relaxed for about an hour before going back to double check luggage and make sure we didn't forget anything. We ended up watching tv and just talking for about an hour before making our way out of the room to go eat lunch and meet the bus back to the airport. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 6:20 and we were leaving the hotel at about 3 to make sure we had time to get through security.
After making it through security, we discovered that the flight that was scheduled out before us with the same jetway we were to use was delayed although our flight was still on time at this point. A severe storm came through delaying all of the flights due to thunder and lightning and severe rain and winds.
We finally got on the plane although it was about 20 minutes later then we thought we were going to leave, and took off to come home.
Flight home was relatively uneventful. Made it home safe and sound and went back to reality
Random ramblings of a twisted mind
Welcome to my world. It may not always be pretty and my language is guaranteed to offend at least once but it's always me and what I am thinking/feeling in that moment. Enjoy the ride!

Disney day 4
Final day at the parks. We went to Magic Kingdom and met most of the "characters" which takes more time then you might think with the lines of people and the characters taking a few minutes with each guest. The ones that are allowed to talk will talk with each person and the others will just pantomime and "play" with each guest. Went on the Disney railroad through the park. John discovered that they are turning Toon town into a circus which upset him because he thought that was one of the best things about Disney world. When we were done at the park, we went to Downtown Disney to check out what is there since he had never been there before. We went into a store where everything is Christmas and got our first Christmas ornament together, a dated Disney World ball. I want to get a different dated ornament every year from wherever we take our vacation that year. We had dinner at Planet Hollywood.
We made our way back to the hotel and started to re-pack the suitcases so we wouldn't be so rushed in the morning. My glass slipper from the bouquet went inside one of my sneakers and was padded with a pair of shorts to help protect it. John made a little nest in his suitcase for the ornament to make sure it made it back to Vermont in one piece.

Disney day 3
Aug 14
Hit Hollywood Studios again briefly to finish up what we hadn't gotten to do yet. I was in so much pain and so tired that on the way to the buses after we left the park, I started to vomit but I didn't want to waste a day of park time so we went to the Magic Kingdom.
Took the bus to the transfer station then the monorail to the park. When we got there, I ended up renting a scooter to help with the exhaustion level and help me to be able to make it through the day. We roamed the park for most of the day, meeting various characters and made our way to the Animal Kingdom lodge for dinner at Sanaa which is a place where you can get African food and see animals while you eat. Outside the windows, we saw a blue crane, zebras, giraffes, a bunny, an ostrich and what we think was either Bison, elk or emus. The blue crane kept coming right up to the windows and watching us. He acted like he wanted to come inside with us.
After dinner, we went back to the Magic Kingdom and went on more rides, saw the fireworks and the electric parade. This was the night the park was open late for resort guests so we explored a lot before making our way back to the buses to the hotel.

Disney day 2
August 13, 2011
Woke up sore from all the walking the previous day, but knowing we were going to have a great day regardless. We both got showered and dressed and made our way down for breakfast. After breakfast, we had been invited to attend a time-share presentation which turned out to be a waste of time mostly because we knew we couldn't afford to buy into it, but we went anyhow. From there, we went over to Hollywood Studios again as there was a ton of stuff there we hadn't gotten to the previous day. We had planned to have dinner inside Epcot, so we made our way in that direction having had a fairly detailed itinerary on where we wanted to be when. We explored some of Epcot before dinner and ate at Teppan Edo a Japanese Hibachi grill restaurant. The couple seated directly next to us at the table had just gotten married a couple of days before and there was a family from England also seated at the table with us. It was so much fun watching the chef prepare our food with the showmanship he was using. It didn't hurt any that the food was delicious!
We explored some more, went on the Figment's imagination ride and went on the soarin' ride (not a good idea for someone afraid of heights and who gets motion sick) before making our way back to the buses. I was so exhausted that my knee threatened to give out underneath me on the way back to the gate but it was still a great day! The hotel staff knew John had just proposed to me and when we walked into his room, on the bed there were towels spelling out the word "Love", on the table were 2 giant swan towels kissing with my bouquet between them, on the entertainment stand was 2 smaller towel swans and on the window sill was a washcloth bunny (all of which except the "Love" towels came home with us)

Disney trip day 1
Ok so it is a little delayed but here it is. On Thursday, Aug 12, I got on an airplane for the first time in my life. John was taking me to Disney World in Orlando, Florida for 5 days, 4 nights.
The plane was delayed leaving Vermont for 3 hours for "Mandatory crew rest" but was otherwise relatively uneventful until we were almost ready to start our descent and hit a little bit of turbulence.
When we landed, we found our ride to the hotel and made our way to Disney's All-Star Music resort on the Magical express. When we got to the hotel, the check in process that should have taken just a few minutes ended up taking about 45 minutes total as someone had called that morning at about 8:30 am (10 minutes after we were supposed to have taken off from Vermont) to cancel the hotel reservation.
Thankfully, John had gotten the Disney dining plan to his reservation as that was how we proved to them that neither of us had cancelled this trip. At this point I was in tears and fighting hard to control my temper as I knew there was only one person who was likely to have done this....the one person who had been doing her best to split John and I up since day 1 and been stalking him.
After we finally got the room situated and had requested a refrigerator be put in there for John's insulin, we dropped off our carry-on luggage in the room (the rest was supposed to be brought in from the airport and dropped off by Disney staff as part of the package he bought) and made our way to the buses to go to Hollywood Studios.
When we got to Hollywood studios, we had about an hour to kill before our dinner reservations so we went to see the Indiana Jones attraction. While they were doing the pre-show set up with the audience members they were going to use as extras, there was some thunder in the distance which I thought was a part of the show. They had just gotten through the first section of the performance when they had to stop it due to heavy rains and thunder and lightning making it unsafe to move the set pieces for the next segment.
We made our way to the souvenir shop next door to see what they had for sale there and kill a little bit of time before we went for dinner.
By the time we got to dinner, we both looked like we had just gotten out of the shower and had been wearing our clothes in the shower. We were going to eat at Hollywood and Vine. When we got into the restaurant, John made his way over to the staff to discuss his dietary restrictions (or so I thought). We made our way to the buffet to get some food and sat down to eat. I couldn't help but notice that about the time I got my dessert and sat back down, John kept nodding but I didn't think anything of it. He told me that since it was my first time at Disney, every night there I would get a different gift after dinner from whatever restaurant we ate at that day but I had to close my eyes because it was a surprise. When he told me to open my eyes, he was on one knee and in front of me was a bouquet of white carnations with a glass slipper and a tiara on them arranged to look like Cinderella's pillow. I looked back at him and he asked me if I would marry him. Of course, I said yes! As he kissed me, the entire restaurant started clapping and cheering for us. The lady at the table next to us asked John to pose on his knee again so she could take a picture of it. Sadly, the memory card that this photo was on was lost later in the trip. We walked around the park until it was almost closing time and made our way back to the hotel. When we got there, John got his insulin from the guest services desk where they had it in their refrigerator and made our way to the room where we expected to find not only our luggage but also the refrigerator he had requested and been promised would be in there. The luggage was there but no refrigerator. He called the front desk and was promised someone would be right up with it. More than 30 minutes later, no one has shown up yet so he walked down to the lobby to talk with them. Another 20 to 30 minutes passed and he called again demanding to speak to the manager. The manager apologized and gave us a credit on our room as an apology for this mishap and the UN-authorized room cancellation that had occurred earlier when the troll called pretending to be me and cancelled it. The refrigerator finally got there at about Midnight (we checked in at about 3 PM and it was supposed to be brought right up). In spite of all the mishaps and someone's best efforts to make it a miserable trip, it was a great day!

big changes!
Ok For some time now I have been battling trying to figure out how to get myself to a better living situation. Well I finally got there. It required me getting a car....check...and now I start a new job tomorrow (Monday) check....and I found a new place to live that I may actually be able to save money at! I know shock right?
I even get walls and a window and a door to my room! I think I might faint now. The downside is, it's about 20 miles to work and I have to get rid of my dog. Sadly, the home owner won't allow me to keep him. It breaks my heart but I know I have to do what is best for me first.
Soooo......on March 26. 2011 I will be a resident of Saint Albans, VT. For better or worse this is a good thing at least temporarily.
Oh and it doesn't hurt that I am in a new relationship with someone I really like a lot! Yay life is good....wait I better not say that too quickly/....

confession is good for the soul...
Or IS it?
So, today I learned from a friend that this particualr person did something yesterday that may result in the loss of their job and they chose to not confess. I have reason to believe I am the only one who knows what happened other than those who were directly involved in the incident. If I say something, the friend will know it was me and will not hesitate to retaliate. Do I say something and risk my self and the friendship though at this point I don't think it's worth much anyhow or do I keep my mouth shut and let this person hang themselves later?
Oy I hate thinking....and I honestly don't know which is the worse evil....
